Fishing Report 6/10/24

Lower Sac-

the lower sac is on fire right now!

with a slower start to the season and alot of flow changes from the high water, its starting to fish really well.

Flows have remained near 9000k cfs and holding.

Healthy trout are gorging bugs to fatten up after spawning season, its nice to see them putting some weight on!

Great hatch's right now all throughout the day. caddis, mayflies, midges and stoneflies.

Indicator, Dry Dropper & even potential for a dry fly eat here and there.

These fish are in full summer mode which means they are hunting for food.

Savage eats so being quick on the hooksets will put more fish in the net.

Now is a great time to book a float trip on the lower sac.

McCloud River

Right now if you are looking for a river that has it all its the Mac right now, insane hatches with all types of juicy trout bugs. Its a fly fishermans dreamland.

The clarity and visibilty isnt as clear as it used to be but the hatch's are still going off, and the fish are not having any issues finding the flies!

Wet Wading is ket right now, the water feels amazing. Lots of beauty on the river right now.

Watch out for snakes large and small, I have seen a few on a days trip.

Dry Fly, Dry Dropper, Euro nymphing , indicator and streamers are all working.
